ANALYTICAL
SUITE

Our Analytical Suite includes a building energy audit and financial cost-benefit analysis. In order to make an informed decision for your building's compliance path, it is important to answer the following questions:

How is your building currently using energy (or wasting it)?

What are the most cost-effective options for compliance (i.e carbon offsets, electrification, and/or efficiency upgrades)?

What is the cost-benefit of each compliance pathway (in present worth)?

Building Energy Audit

The report will provide data on energy consumption. This will include your overall annual energy usage, and which systems are the most carbon intensive. Also included is the projected LL97 penalty for non-compliance. Sub-consultant engineering services will often be required for this deliverable, which will include:

  • Evaluation

  • Testing

  • Efficiency Recommendations

2

Cost-Benefit Analysis

Based on the energy audit, select compliance path options will be considered. The estimated cost of each will be provided in present worth dollars, and compared side-by-side. The deliverable includes a projected budget for each prescriptive path, and a quantitative report highlighting any positive externalities (i.e resident wellness, comfort & cosmetic improvement).

3

Compliance Path Recommendation

Based on the above energy audit, cost-benefit analysis and other known conditions (i.e current capital improvements budget, board requirements, agency requirements, systems remaining useful life) a compliance path recommendation letter will be provided.

4

Compliance Report Submission

The first compliance report is due May 1, 2025. DE Energy Consultants will prepare and submit this report on behalf of the client.
